PANHELLENIC COUNCIL



The Panhellenic Council (PHC) is the governing board for four of the five sororities at UMD. Its officers follow the local PHC constitution and bylaws as well as all National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) Policies. PHC is responsible for organizing primary recruitment, programming and educational opportunities, communication efforts, and for supporting the Panhellenic community.

Attend Panhellenic Council meetings every Friday from 9:00-10:00 a.m. via zoom. 

JOIN THE EXECUTIVE BOARD 


If you are interested in joining the Panhellenic Council Executive Board for 2020-2021 please complete the following steps. The women selected for the next board will be leaders for the entire sorority community and Greek Life. Applications are open for VP Administration and VP Diversity and Inclusion. 

Eligibility
  • 2.7 cumulative grade point average 
  • Full time student for term (12 credits/semester)
  • Initiated into an PHC sorority Fall 2019 or earlier 
  • Is in good standing with your own PHC organization
  • If applying for President or VP Recruitment, have previous experience working with PHC

Step 1: Complete the Application
  • Copy and paste this application into your own document. 
  • Please fill out these questions to the best of your ability.
  • You apply for two positions. 
  • Email completed applications to Kaleigh Yohn, yohn0012@d.umn.edu.

Step 2: Sign up for an Interview 

  • Interview times are January 25, 26 and 28 from 5:00-9:00 PM. 
  • Interviews are expected to take 30 minutes over zoom.

Application Timeline 
  • Applicants will be notified if they have been slated or not prior to it being announced at a delegate meeting. 
  • Chapter delegates will vote on behalf of their organization to pass or decline the slate. 
    • Voting will take place electronically. 
    • If the slate does not pass chapter delegates will vote on each individual position (yes/no). Positions that receive a majority vote will be elected into those roles. If any position does not receive a majority vote then all applications for that position will be available to chapters to review and all eligible applicants are open to be elected. 
  • Newly elected officers will received training by the new PHC President.

I love to go hiking and be outside. I also am extremely competitive and love every yard/card/board game. I am huge into spending time with my family and friends and always need to be doing something!

 I am addicted to coffee and also I have an obsession with sharks. I love surrounding myself with passionate women and I will always be down for an adventure outside :)
